Family Villa, Sierra Blanca Marbella.

This family had purchased a beautiful villa in the prestigious Sierra Blanca area of Marbella, complete with traditional Moorish architectural details, and wished to give it a contemporary update while respecting its heritage character. This villa renovation project demonstrates how to successfully blend historical elements with modern family living requirements in one of Marbella's most sought-after neighborhoods.

The interior design approach focused on selective modernisation rather than complete transformation, preserving the villa's authentic charm while updating functionality for contemporary family life. Beginning with the kitchen renovation, the design strategy involved creating a space that would serve as the heart of the home for this young family while maintaining connection to the property's architectural heritage.

We used premium materials including rich walnut wood and carefully selected marble, but applied them with contemporary detailing in the custom cabinetry design. The kitchen layout was reconfigured to improve workflow and create better connection between cooking and dining areas, essential for modern family living and entertaining. Integrated appliances and clever storage solutions maximise functionality without compromising the sophisticated aesthetic.

The gold veining in the marble countertops was specifically chosen to complement the existing marble floors throughout the villa, creating visual continuity between old and new elements. This thoughtful material selection ensures the updated spaces feel integrated rather than disconnected from the villa's original character. The warm tones create an inviting atmosphere perfect for family gatherings and daily life.

This project showcases our approach to villa renovations across the Costa del Sol, whether it's updating a traditional villa in Sierra Blanca, modernising a property in Sotogrande, or renovation projects throughout Marbella and Andalusia. The key is respecting existing architectural character while creating spaces that work for contemporary living.
