Danielle Carnegie
Danielle Carnegie is the founder and designer behind Studio Alba. She grew up in Central Scotland, surrounded by rolling hills and timeless architecture, which taught her to appreciate good materials and quality craftsmanship. Nearly a decade ago, she moved to Marbella and fell in love with how the light here transforms spaces.
With a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from The University of Dundee, she's worked on all sorts of projects across the Costa del Sol and the UK, homes, commercial spaces, exhibitions, you name it. Her style blends the solid, practical approach she learned in Scotland with the warmth and brightness of southern Spain.
As an expat herself, Danielle understands what it's like to make a new place feel like home. She knows how important it is to get your space right, especially when you're starting fresh somewhere new. She focuses on creating spaces that feel both practical and intentional, each one tailored to its clients with quality finishes and careful consideration of how the space will actually be used.
Through Studio Alba, she brings together Scottish craftsmanship with Andalusian warmth, creating spaces that feel both grounded and welcoming with an empathetic, considered approach to each project.
Studio Alba
Studio Alba is a boutique interior design studio based in Marbella, working on residential and commercial projects across Europe. The name "Alba" carries dual meaning: it's derived from the Gaelic word for Scotland, honouring Danielle's roots, whilst also meaning "dawn" in Spanish, symbolising new beginnings and the thoughtful way the studio approaches transforming each space.
